Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The location was ideal with a perfect setting, but the rooms were outdated and needed some attention. The service was friendly but lacked professionalism at times. The dining was satisfactory, and the facilities were decent for a comfortable stay.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms were basic and in need of updating, but I was pleased to hear that a renovation plan was in progress. Unfortunately, my room overlooked a building site, had a damp smell, and only had one ceiling light. On the bright side, the service was fast and helpful in accommodating a room change to Villa Maya, located just 15 minutes away in a reserve. The location was nice with a good view of the lake, but I was slightly disappointed that the hotel was not actually in Flores. The dining experience was okay in the morning, with homemade preserves adding a nice touch. As for the facilities, they were lacking in some areas.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room overlooking the lake and Flores Island needed some work and lacked drinking water, but the service was good and responsive, swiftly relocating us to Villa Maya. The location, although not in Flores, provided purified water and easy access to Tikal and Yaxha. The dining experience was satisfactory with homemade bread, but it was not served in Flores. Overall, a mixed experience with room for improvement.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, fantastic sunset views overlooking the lake and Flores Island, and no noise during the night. The service was good, the staff kind and genuinely making an effort, though could use some improvement in professionalism during breakfast. The location, just across the lake from Flores, was scenic, but a bit inconvenient requiring a tuk-tuk or walk on unlit roads at night. The dining experience was quite complete with value for money, offering home-made organic fruits and a nice variety of dishes. However, the facilities could use a small investment for upgrades.
